Agnes Kyotalengerire is an outstanding Ugandan female multi-media journalist with over ten years of experience in the field of journalism. She is a graduate of English Language and Literature from Makerere University. Agnes holds a Certificate in Health Journalism and Communication from AMREF University Nairobi, Kenya.
Currently, she is a writer at The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Limited, specializing in reporting on health, education, children, women and gender issues.
She is a multi-award winner; she won the Ministry of Health award for promoting immunization through media for the year 2013/2014. She scooped the National Population Council Media award 2017 for the print category. In 2020 she won the exemplary media award for older person’s rights and dignity- 2019. In 2020 November, she won the National Population Council Overall Journalist of the Year Media Award. On March 5, 2021 she scooped the Best East Africa NCDs Journalist award -print category.
On December 2, 2021, she won the Best Features Story print category for the HIV/SHR Media Awards. On December 21, she scooped the National Journalism Award in health reporting, organized by Africa centre for Media Excellence (ACME).
Her exemplary health reporting skills have impacted lives through action from relevant stakeholders thereby transforming communities in Uganda.
