Health care provision is still in a bad state

Although the government is trying to fund rural health centers so that they can provide good quality services, setting up and renovating infrastructure, much still needs to be done by the stakeholders and in-charges of health centers.

The rural health system faces a number of challenges including; absenteeism and few specialized and qualified health workers, inadequate power supply, long distances to the health center, lack of transportation especially in the hilly areas which worsens during the rainy seasons and inadequate resources to use in the health center.

There is a need to provide ambulances that are well functioning and also, increase the health workers at the health centers.
